Boat and maritime injury cases

## On the water, the vessel keeps its own file. *Read it beside the chart.*

Medrecords AI lines up the vessel records with the injury chronology: the log, the crew statements, the Coast Guard report, the chemical tests and every treating visit, on 1 timeline against the incident time. Every entry links to its page. Fault and causation stay with your experts.

Where boat cases turn

### 6 places the defense looks first. The chronology gets you there before they do.

A boat case runs on federal rules the crew was supposed to follow in the hours after the incident. These are the points where the vessel file and the medical file meet, each flagged with its page.

Vessel file

#### The incident time

The time in the log, the crew statements and the first medical note, side by side. Every clock after it runs from this one.

citedVessel file

#### The chemical tests

Alcohol and drug test times measured against the incident time, and any required test missing from the file.

46 CFR §4.06-3Vessel file

#### The Coast Guard report

What the CG-2692 says about the injury, set beside what the ED found. A mismatch is flagged with both pages.

46 CFR §4.05-10Passenger file

#### The first medical note

How the ED described the mechanism, the seas and the injury, quoted with the time of the note.

citedPassenger file

#### The gap in treatment

Every interval over 30 days between visits, with both dates. The adjuster will find it. You see it first.

flaggedBoth

#### The records that never arrived

The crew drug test, the vessel's own incident report, the imaging a referral ordered. Listed with the page that points to each one.

How it works

### Send both files. Get 1 timeline back.

#### What you send

- Vessel logs, crew statements and incident reports
- The CG-2692 and chemical test records you have
- ED, treating and therapy records
- Billing ledgers and itemized statements
- Any format: PDFs, scans, faxes, phone photos

#### What you get

- The vessel record and the medical record on 1 timeline
- Chemical test times against the incident time
- The Coast Guard report set beside the ED findings
- Every treatment gap over 30 days, with both dates
- A list of records the file refers to but does not contain

#### We lay out the record. Maritime law and fault stay with you.

We place what the vessel file and the medical records say on 1 timeline, with pages. We do not decide seaworthiness, whether the Jones Act or general maritime law applies, or who caused the incident. Those belong to you and your experts.

**HIPAA, under a signed BAA** — Every file is handled under our Business Associate Agreement.
**SOC 2** — Encryption in transit and at rest, and PHI access logging on every event.
**Never trains a model** — Your records never train any AI model, ours or anyone else’s.
**Deleted after delivery** — Files are deleted 30 days after delivery, with an audit log of every access.
Questions

### Boat accident record review, answered.

**Does this work for crew members as well as passengers?**
Yes. The chronology is built for the person you represent. For a crew member the file often adds maintenance and cure records and employment medicals, which are read the same way.

**Do you check whether the chemical tests were done on time?**
We put each test time next to the incident time, with pages, and flag a required test that is missing from the file. Whether a rule was broken is your call.

**Can you read vessel logs and Coast Guard forms?**
Yes, if you have them as documents. Logs, statements, the CG-2692 and test records are read like any other record. We do not pull records from the Coast Guard or the vessel owner.

**Do you retrieve records from providers?**
No. Medrecords AI does not retrieve records from providers or facilities. You bring the records you already have, and review starts in minutes from upload.
