Watch a billing ledger tie every charge to its bill
Medrecords AI reads the bills in a case into 1 ledger, removes duplicate charges before the total and ties each row to its source page. Click a charge and the bill opens at that line; group by provider for subtotals; export the ledger as CSV. This demo runs on an invented case.
What the video shows
- Every charge in 1 ledger. The Billing Ledger tab shows 7 charges from 4 providers, $7,910.00 billed, with 1 duplicate removed before the total. Each row has its source page, date of service, description, provider, and billed and paid amounts.
- Click a charge. The MRI charge is selected and the bill beside the ledger scrolls to page 134, the Harbor Point Imaging statement, with that line highlighted.
- Group by provider. The flat list turns into 4 provider headings, each with its charge count and subtotal, such as $4,400.00 for Summit County Hospital.
- Export CSV. case_4821_billing_ledger.csv downloads: every charge across 28 columns, each tied to its source page.
Why each charge opens its bill
Billed totals get challenged 1 line at a time. When a charge opens on the bill it came from, with the line highlighted, nobody has to page through a 212-page file to back up a number. Removing duplicates before the total keeps the same charge from being counted twice.
