How do I check which page of the record an AI finding came from?
Click its number. Every finding Medrecords AI returns carries a numbered citation, and 1 click opens the source page with the passage highlighted. This 20 second demo asks an invented case about a prior neck injury and checks the answer against the record.
What the video shows
- Ask. The question is typed in plain English: "Is there evidence of a prior neck injury?"
- Read the cited answer. 3 sentences come back, each with a number: the first neck complaint on 03/14/2025 [1], the MRI on 04/02/2025 showing a C5-C6 protrusion [2], and a primary care visit on 11/08/2024 with no neck complaints [3].
- Click a citation. Citation 2 opens page 132 of the record with the MRI impression highlighted, so the claim and its source sit side by side.
- Pick a mode. Extractive returns verbatim quotes. Clinical Synthesis reasons across the record and can also cite PubMed. Evidence-Based Extraction sits between the 2. All 3 cite their sources.
Why a citation has to open the page
A citation that only names a page still leaves you to find it. Here the click lands on the passage, highlighted, so checking a finding takes seconds. The demo also shows negative evidence: the 2024 primary care visit with no neck complaint is cited too, because what the record leaves out matters as much as what it says.
