Which duplicate pages were removed from my records, and why?

The case page tells you. Medrecords AI strips duplicate pages, cover sheets and custodian certifications when a case is created, and shows each removed page next to the page it kept, with the reason. This 20 second demo follows an invented case from the upload settings to a side-by-side comparison.

20 seconds, no sound. The numbered list below follows the video, and the transcript repeats its on-screen text.

What the video shows

  1. Upload defaults. Create New Case has 3 settings on by default: strip cover pages, strip custodian certifications and remove duplicates. Stripped pages keep their original page and Bates numbers.
  2. Count what was set aside. The case page reports 42 duplicate pages, 7 non-clinical images, 9 cover pages and 4 blank pages. Of 1,226 pages reviewed across 38 files, 1,184 were kept.
  3. See the match. Each removed page sits next to the page that was kept, labelled Exact, Subset or AI. The AI match catches a faxed copy that differs from the original only by an added fax header.
  4. Compare the pair. Open any pair side by side, with the stated reason for the removal.

Why removed pages stay visible

Deduplication saves review time only if you can trust it. A page that disappears without a trace is a page someone has to go looking for later. Here nothing leaves view: the count says what was set aside, the match type says why, and the original page and Bates numbers stay intact, so a citation to the source file still lands on the right page.
