Watch new records update a finished case in 20 seconds
When records arrive after a report is done, Medrecords AI adds them to the case and returns a briefing on what they change or add, with each point cited. This demo uploads 2 late records to an invented case and reads the result.
What the video shows
- Upload additional files. 2 PDFs go into the finished case: an orthopedic follow-up from 06/12/2025 (6 pages) and a physical therapy discharge from 06/20/2025 (8 pages). PDF, DICOM, PNG, JPG and JPEG are accepted; ZIP files are not. The case re-processes.
- Confirm what is new. The confirmation panel marks the new items, here the lumbar spine as a body part and a 06/12/2025 injury entry. Nothing is selected for you.
- Run the analysis. A banner reads 2 new documents since the report. Analyze new records starts the comparison.
- Read the briefing. 2 new records reviewed: 1 change and 2 net-new facts. Work capacity moves from off work to light duty with no lifting over 20 lb. A lumbar MRI was ordered for new low back pain, and physical therapy ended with a discharge to a home program after 12 visits. The briefing downloads as a PDF.
Why late records get their own briefing
Records keep arriving after the report is written, and re-reading the whole file to find what moved is where updates go wrong. The briefing separates the change, here a return to light duty, from the facts that are simply new, and cites each one, so the author can decide whether the opinion needs a supplement.
