What changed in the last quarter for AI tools sold to the claims adjuster: new vendors, launches, pricing, language?
The clearest signal of where this category is going is what its own homepages say. We pulled archived snapshots near 1 September in 2024, 2025 and 2026 and counted the same terms in each.
| Term | Sept 2024 | Sept 2025 | Sept 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| agentic | 0 | 1 | 5 | +5 |
| citation or cited | 3 | 2 | 10 | +7 |
| verify or verification | 7 | 7 | 11 | +4 |
| chronology | 15 | 20 | 20 | +5 |
| human, nurse or physician review | 1 | 1 | 1 | no change |
| hallucination | 0 | 0 | 1 | +1 |
Out of 35 vendors with a snapshot near 1 September in all 3 years: American Retrieval Company, CLARA Analytics, MedChrons, everchron.com, EvolutionIQ, Flatworld Solutions, Hathr AI, Hona, Enlyte, owl.co, paxton.ai, rate-fast.com, yocierge.com, plus 22 vendors not named here.
sites using each term at least once, out of 35 with archived snapshots in all 3 years
Directional only. Homepages alone, and only the vendors the Internet Archive happened to capture near 1 September in each of the 3 years. Every snapshot is linked in sources.
Agentic went from 0 sites to 5 in 2 years. Citation language moved from 3 to 10, which is the fastest climb on the chart. Chronology was already the settled word and stayed there at 20 of 35.
Hallucination appears on 1 homepage in 2026 and 0 in 2024. Marketing departments will name the capability long before they name the failure mode, which is exactly why the buyer has to test for it rather than read for it.
For a claims buyer, site activity matters because several of these vendors are services firms with a software layer, not software companies. 4 of the 14 named pages in sources are service pages from record retrieval, review or form-handling firms. A services firm can run an old website and a busy operation at the same time, so read the chart below as marketing activity, not product velocity.
share of dated sitemap URLs changed in the last 180 days
Measured from public sitemaps on 2026-09-06 to 2026-09-07. 11 vendors in this set publish no lastmod dates, so their velocity is recorded as not measured rather than as zero.
owl.co (100%) and rootsautomation.com (99%) changed nearly every dated URL in 180 days. casemark.ai (53%) and rrsmedical.com (49%) changed about half.
9 of 34 claims vendors publish a price a buyer can act on without a sales call (26%), the lowest share of the 3 audiences in this series. Among LNC vendors, it is 9 of 17 (53%). Among QME vendors, it is 8 of 23 (35%). That fits how claims software is sold: enterprise contracts, per-claim or per-seat terms set in procurement. The named price pages are casemark.ai, Flatworld Solutions and precedent.com, and the rootsautomation.com page we captured is the Bevaya pricing page.
12 of 34 say the output cites back to the source page (35%), the lowest share of the 3 audiences in this series. Among LNC vendors, it is 13 of 17 (76%). Among QME vendors, it is 9 of 23 (39%). For an adjuster that gap matters more than price: a summary that cannot be traced to a page is hard to defend in a denial letter or at a hearing.
7 of 34 claims vendors publish an llms.txt file, the lowest share in this series. Only 1 blocks AI crawlers. Claims vendors are mostly not preparing for AI agents to read their sites, and mostly not stopping them either.
This is a secondary-research study, not a survey. The claims set is the deepest in the series: every named vendor page was captured on 2026-08-13 in a page-level scrape of up to 6 pages per site.
This measures what vendors publish, not what their software does. Claims software is mostly sold on enterprise terms, so a missing price here usually means a contract price, not no price. Services firms with an old website can still be busy firms. Every count is over this vendor set on these dates. It is not a market share estimate.
