What changed in the last quarter for AI tools sold to the PI attorney: new vendors, launches, pricing, language?
The clearest signal of where this category is going is what its own homepages say. We pulled archived snapshots near 1 September in 2024, 2025 and 2026 and counted the same terms in each.
| Term | Sept 2024 | Sept 2025 | Sept 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| agentic | 0 | 1 | 5 | +5 |
| citation or cited | 3 | 2 | 10 | +7 |
| verify or verification | 7 | 7 | 11 | +4 |
| chronology | 15 | 20 | 20 | +5 |
| human, nurse or physician review | 1 | 1 | 1 | no change |
| hallucination | 0 | 0 | 1 | +1 |
Out of 35 vendors with a snapshot near 1 September in all 3 years: American Retrieval Company, CLARA Analytics, MedChrons, everchron.com, EvolutionIQ, Flatworld Solutions, Hathr AI, Hona, Enlyte, owl.co, paxton.ai, rate-fast.com, yocierge.com, plus 22 vendors not named here.
sites using each term at least once, out of 35 with archived snapshots in all 3 years
Directional only. Homepages alone, and only the vendors the Internet Archive happened to capture near 1 September in each of the 3 years. Every snapshot is linked in sources.
Agentic went from 0 sites to 5 in 2 years. Citation language moved from 3 to 10, which is the fastest climb on the chart. Chronology was already the settled word and stayed there at 20 of 35.
Hallucination appears on 1 homepage in 2026 and 0 in 2024. Marketing departments will name the capability long before they name the failure mode, which is exactly why the buyer has to test for it rather than read for it.
A public sitemap with lastmod dates is a free view into whether a company is still building. This measures the site, not the product, and a marketing site can move while an engineering team does not. Treat it as one signal among several.
share of dated sitemap URLs changed in the last 180 days
Measured from public sitemaps on 2026-09-06 to 2026-09-07. 9 vendors in this set publish no lastmod dates, so their velocity is recorded as not measured rather than as zero.
10 of 39 vendors in this set publish an llms.txt file, the plain-text file that tells an AI agent what a site contains. Newer entrants publish it far more often than the incumbents, which is a fair proxy for who expects to be found by an agent rather than by a salesperson.
1 vendors in this set block AI crawlers outright: the vendor.
This is a secondary-research study, not a survey. Every number is a count over a named set of vendors, taken from what those vendors publish on their own sites, with a source URL and a capture date.
Each rubric field is scored from the vendor's own pages, never from a press release or a third-party listing. Strength records where the claim appears, because a claim on a pricing page is worth more than a claim in a blog post.
| Strength | What it means |
|---|---|
| strong | Stated at least twice on a key page, or at least 4 times across the site. Key pages are the homepage, product, pricing, security, solutions, platform, features, integrations, trust, compliance, and about pages. |
| medium | Stated once on a key page, or at least twice elsewhere. |
| weak | One passing mention anywhere on the site. |

Where this study describes a buyer situation rather than a vendor claim, it is a composite drawn from published sources, not a survey. Composites are labeled at the point of use with the number of sources behind them. No customer, prospect, or call participant is identified.
Review quotes are one excerpt per review, under 15 words, in straight quotes, linked to the review. Everything else is paraphrased and aggregated into coded themes.
Every table and chart in this series links to the page it came from. Where a page has changed since capture, the capture date printed next to the figure is the date that matters. Wayback links are given for figures drawn from archived snapshots.
200 sources. Every figure in this article traces to one of them. External links are marked nofollow and open in a new tab. Earnings call transcripts sit in our own corpus and carry no public link, so they are listed by company and quarter for anyone who wants to pull the original.
Prices as of 7 Sep 2026.

No. Nobody was interviewed and nobody filled in a form. Every number is a count over a named set of vendors, taken from what those vendors publish on their own sites, with a source link and a capture date next to it.

It means the claim does not appear on any page we captured. It does not mean the software cannot do it. This study measures the public record, which is also what a buyer reading a website sees.
Of 74 public reviews of AI and software vendors in this category, 2 mention accuracy or error and 0 mention hallucination. Reviewers write about what they can see. Turnaround is visible immediately. A missed record is not visible until it matters.
Yes, and that is the point. Every table links to the page it came from and prints the date we read it. Where a figure comes from an archived snapshot, the snapshot link is in the sources section.
No. We publish this study, so ranking ourselves against our own rubric would not be a ranking. The rubric and every input are public, so anyone can score us on the same sheet.
