How do I edit the chronological narrative in Medrecords AI?
The chronological narrative in Medrecords AI tells the case as a story in date order, with a citation on each sentence. You can edit it by hand for free. You can also ask the AI to fix a passage or rewrite the whole thing, for 10 credits each time. Nothing changes until you accept it, and every version is kept.

Ask the AI to change it
Each AI change costs 10 credits. The 3 kinds are:
| Change | What it does | How to start it |
|---|---|---|
| Surgical fix | Rewrites only the passage you select | Select text, then Steer > Surgical fix |
| Complete regeneration | Writes the whole narrative again | Steer > Complete regeneration |
| Rewrite selection | Rewrites a passage the way you ask | Select text, then Rewrite selection |
Steps for a steer:
- Press Steer.
- Pick the kind of change.
- Say what you want. You can type or use the voice button.
- Press Apply surgical fix or Regenerate.
A full regeneration can take a few minutes. Keep the tab open.
Records you have excluded are not used when the narrative is written again. If a change fails, the credits come back.
Review before you accept
The app shows the change before it replaces anything.
- Switch between Changes and Final text to compare.
- Use Next change and Previous change to step through.
- Press Accept changes, or Discard to keep what you had.
The old version stays in history either way.
Go back to an earlier version
- Press History. The count shows how many versions there are.
- Pick a version and press View changes to compare it.
- Press Restore to make it current.
Restoring adds a new version. Nothing in the history is lost. Looking at old versions is free.

Tips
- Check facts in the narrative against the source before you quote it. See check any fact against its source.
- If the chip "Cites excluded records" shows, the text still uses records you have since excluded. Regenerate to drop them.
