How do I run my first case in Medrecords AI?

Your first case in Medrecords AI takes 5 steps. You sign up, create the case, upload the records, confirm the case details and then read the chronology. Most of the work is done by the app. You only need to check 2 things: the case type before you start and the key date before the chronology is built.

Before you start

Have these ready:

Step 1. Sign up

  1. Create your account.
  2. Read and accept the Terms, the Privacy Notice and the BAA. You accept all 3 before you can upload.
  3. Pick your role, such as legal nurse consultant or attorney. It sets which case types show first. See set your role.

Each person needs their own account. Never share a login.

Step 2. Create the case

  1. On the cases list, press New case.
  2. Type a Case name, such as "Smith v. Jones".
  3. Pick the Case type.
  4. Drop your files or folders into the upload box. You can add as many as you like at once.
  5. If you want, add Notes for the reviewer, such as "Fall on March 3, 2024. Focus on the left hip."

Step 3. Review and start

  1. Press Review. Check the file list and the page count.
  2. Press Create case.

If your balance is too low, a "Not enough credits" box opens. You can buy just the credits you are missing, then press Create case again.

Changed your mind? For about 1 minute after you start, you can press Cancel processing. Every credit comes back and the files stay.

Step 4. Confirm the case details

The app reads your records, then stops. The case status changes to Needs confirming.

  1. Open the case. The Confirm case details window opens.
  2. Check the case summary, the focus and the body parts.
  3. Check the key date. Press Make primary on the right one.
  4. Press Confirm and continue.

Confirming is free. You cannot change the focus or key date later, so take your time. See confirm the case details.

Step 5. Read the chronology

When the status says Processed, the case is ready.

WhereWhat you get
ChronologyEvery medical event in date order, each linked to its page
Chronological narrativeThe case told as a story, with a citation on each sentence
Documents indexEvery record, sorted by type and provider
