Check any fact against its source page in Medrecords AI
Every fact in Medrecords AI points back to a page in your records. Click a record or event and the source page opens beside it, with the quoted text highlighted. You can read and copy the text the app took from each page. Check key facts this way before you rely on them.

Open the source page
- Open the case and go to the Records tab.
- Click a record row. Its pages load in the Source pane. The header says "Now viewing" and the record's title.
- Click an event row instead to open the record at that event's page. The app highlights the quoted text. While it looks, a chip says "Locating citation…".
If the quote cannot be found, you see "Couldn't locate the quoted text on this page". Read the page yourself in that case.
Citations work the same way elsewhere. A citation in a Q&A answer or a report opens the record details. A citation in the narrative opens the source beside the text.
Read the record details
Press View details on a record. The window has these sections:
- Summary
- Verbatim abstract, the exact words from the record
- Events
- Providers and provider roles
- Facilities
- Treatments
- Diagnostic codes
- Body parts affected
- Extracted text
Read and copy the page text
- In the PDF viewer, hover over a page.
- Press the Page text button. Its tip says "Read the text on this page so you can copy it".
- A window shows the text the app read from that page. Press Copy all to copy it.
Compare that text with the image of the page. Handwriting and poor scans are where mistakes are most likely.
Fix details before you confirm
You can edit record details only while the case shows "Needs confirming". After you confirm, they lock.
| You can edit | You cannot edit |
|---|---|
| Title and date | Verbatim abstract |
| Summary points | Treatments |
| Providers and facilities | Diagnostic codes |
| Provider roles | Body parts |
| Events inside the details window |
When you rename a provider or facility, pick Only here for this record, or Everywhere in this case to change every match. The count of matches shows in brackets.
A good checking habit
- Check every date, diagnosis and dollar figure you plan to quote.
- Check the pages around the key date first.
- Use search to find every page that mentions a code or body part.
