Set your role in Medrecords AI: attorney, nurse or IME doctor

Your role in Medrecords AI tells the app what kind of work you do. It only changes 1 thing: which case types show first when you create a case. It does not limit what you can do. Every role can open every case type, and the reports follow the case type, not your role.

Where to set it

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Find the row called Your work. It says "Puts the case types you use first when you create a case".
  3. Pick your role. The app saves it right away and shows "Role updated."

To go back to the full list, pick "No preference". You then see every case type.

What your role does not change

  • Your side. Attorneys pick plaintiff or defense on each case, not in the role.
  • What the app reads. The details pulled from the records follow the case type.
  • The confirm step and the reports. These also follow the case type.
  • Prices. Credits cost the same for every role.
  • Access. A role is not a permission level. There are no team roles today. Each person has their own account, and only the owner can open a case.

The underwriter role has no special features yet. The picker says so.

How to use it by role

Attorneys. Set the role, then pick the case type that matches the claim. For a birth injury claim, use medical malpractice. See choose the right case type.

Legal nurse consultants. You see the attorney list plus the veteran type. Most of your work will start from the chronology and the missing records list.

IME physicians. Use the case type of the claim you are asked to review, such as workers' comp or personal injury. For psychological or capacity work, the forensic evaluator role puts forensic evaluation first.
