Review a personal injury case in Medrecords AI

Medrecords AI has 2 case types for injury claims. Use Personal Injury for falls, premises cases and dog bites. Use Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) for any crash. Both build a cited chronology, help you find prior injuries and breaks in care, and write damages and demand reports that you check before you send.

What a personal injury file has to show

Most injury files turn on 3 questions. What happened? What did it cause? What was already there before? Medrecords AI sorts the records so you can answer each 1 with page cites.

On these case types, Q&A on the case is set up to look for:

  • How the injury happened, as each record tells it
  • What providers wrote about cause, both for and against a link
  • Earlier treatment to the same body parts
  • Breaks in treatment
  • Work limits and lasting problems, as the records state them

It reports these facts. It never decides causation, fault, permanency or what a claim is worth. Those calls are yours or your expert's.

A short route through a case

  1. Create the case. Pick Personal Injury or Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA).
  2. Upload every record and bill for the claimant. Keep Remove duplicate pages on.
  3. When the case says Needs confirming, check the key date, the body parts and the case details. You cannot edit them after you confirm.
  4. Read the timeline around the date of injury. Click any entry to see its source page.
  5. Work through the missing records list and look for breaks in care.
  6. Create your reports in Report Studio and run the verification check.

Reports you get by default

Both case types start with 3 reports ticked: Record Review, Causation Analysis and Damages Summary. You can untick any of them before you confirm. You can add others later, such as the Demand Package Narrative or the Pre-existing Condition Analysis. MVA cases also offer the MVA Demand Package and the Mechanism-of-Injury Consistency Analysis.

A new report costs 100 credits, and that includes 1 verification run. See create a report in Report Studio.
