Should I pick Personal Injury or Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)?

Pick MVA for any crash: car, truck, motorcycle, bike or pedestrian. Pick Personal Injury for falls, premises cases, dog bites and other injuries. MVA adds crash details to check. See set up a personal injury case, and when to pick MVA.

How do liens and letters of protection show up?

A letter of protection is a promise to pay a provider from any recovery. The app reports liens and letters of protection as facts from the records. On an MVA case, the confirm window has a Coverage and liens field. The MVA Demand Package has a section called Liens and Reimbursement Claims. To find them yourself, search with Keywords for "lien", "letter of protection" and "LOP". Read our guide on medical liens and letters of protection.

Can I answer an IME report?

Yes. Upload the IME report, then pick Response to IME / Rule 35 Report in Report Studio. Reading the IME costs 1 credit per page, on top of the 100 credits for the report. You can also use the Q&A pane on the case to compare the IME with the treating records, with page cites.

Can I use it for defense review?

Yes. Attorneys pick plaintiff or defense on each case. Q&A brings up records that deny a link to the injury as readily as records that support 1. The Pre-existing Condition Analysis and the Deposition Preparation Summary are useful on either side. See find prior injuries and check the mechanism.

Does it read the bills?

Yes. Billed charges show in reports under "Medical Expenses (Billed Charges)" or "Billed Charges of Record". The Billing Ledger tab lists every charge on the case. Press Export CSV to save it. See export your work.

Does it read X-ray and MRI images?

No. DICOM imaging files are stored and you can view them, but the app does not read the images. Upload the radiology report. The app quotes words like "degenerative" or "no acute finding" exactly.

Will it tell me what the case is worth?

No. Medrecords AI never gives a settlement value. It does not decide fault, causation or permanency either. It reports what the records say, with cites.

Can I change the crash details after I confirm?

No. Check them while the case says Needs confirming. The confirm window opens again if you add records later, and you can update your answers then. See confirm the case details.

Can my paralegal open my case?

Not today. Each person needs their own account, and only the owner can open a case. To share your work, export the chronology or a report and send the file.

Medrecords AI organizes and cites the records. Its output is not a medical or legal opinion and does not replace your expert.
