Get answers on mass tort claimants, fact sheets and lot numbers

These are short answers to the questions people ask most about mass tort work in Medrecords AI. In brief, each claimant is 1 case. There is no batch upload and no fact sheet feature. Lot numbers are found with exact search and quoted as printed. The app never says a product caused the harm.

Can 1 case hold many claimants?

No. Each case holds 1 claimant. Make a new case for each person, and pick Mass Tort & Product Liability each time. See set up a mass tort case.

Can I upload a whole inventory at once?

No. There is no batch upload and no bulk case creation. For an inventory, make 1 case per claimant. Then use the same report template on each case, so every report has the same layout. See set up report templates.

Does the app read plaintiff fact sheets or a census?

No. There is no plaintiff fact sheet or census support. You can upload a fact sheet as a record. The app reads it like any other page, and you can ask Q&A about it. See find missing providers.

Does it pull out lot, serial or NDC numbers?

It does not put them in a list of their own. Find them with Exact search. When you ask Q&A on a mass tort case, the answer quotes identifiers exactly as printed, with page citations. Always read the number on the page image. See find proof of use.

Will the app say the product caused the injury?

No. It shows the pages on use, timing and injury. It also reports other documented causes. Causation is for you and your expert.

Which reports should I write?

Start with the 3 pre-selected ones: Record Review, Causation Analysis and Damages Summary. You can add others, such as Pre-existing Condition Analysis or Rebuttal. See which report to write.

Can I change the product or exposure period after I confirm?

Not directly. The case details lock when you confirm. If you add records later, the confirm window opens again and you can update your answers then.

Can my team work on the same claimant's case?

Cases belong to the person who made them. There is no case sharing today. Each person needs their own account. Never share a login.

Is the data kept safe?

Medrecords AI is HIPAA compliant and SOC 2. Cases are private to their owner. See security and HIPAA.

Medrecords AI organizes and cites the records. Its output is not a medical or legal opinion and does not replace your expert.
