Find proof of use: pharmacy, prescription and implant records

Proof of use is the record that ties the claimant to the exact product. In Medrecords AI you find it with exact-text search, filters and Q&A. Upload the pharmacy, prescription, injection and implant records into the claimant's case. Then search for the product name and any identifier, and open each hit at its source page.

Upload them all into the same case. If more records arrive later, add them to that case. Do not start a new one. See add records to an existing case.

Find the product name

  1. Open the case and go to the Records tab.
  2. In the search box, pick Exact.
  3. Type the product name as the records print it.
  4. Click each record in the results. Its pages open in the Source pane.

Exact search finds parts of words too. A short name can match other words, so read each hit. To look for 2 or more names at once, such as a brand name and a generic name, pick Keywords and add each name. Choose Any to see records with at least 1 of them. See search your records.

Find lot numbers and other identifiers

Medrecords AI does not pull out lot, serial or NDC numbers into a list of their own. You find them like this:

  • Search with Exact for the number, or for words like "lot" or "serial".
  • In Keywords mode, codes match exactly, whatever the dash, slash or space.
  • Ask in Q&A which records name the product, lot or serial number. On a mass tort case, the answer quotes identifiers exactly as printed, with page citations.

Then open the page and read the number yourself. Implant stickers are often small or faint. Use the Page text button to see the text the app read, and compare it with the image. See check any fact against its source page.

Narrow the records with filters

On the Records tab, open the filter panel. Filter by Provider to see 1 prescriber's records. Filter by Category to see 1 kind of record. Use Date From and Date To to look at the exposure period. See filter and group the documents index.

Mark what you find

Make a flag in Settings under Stages and flags, such as "Proof of use". Then flag each page that names the product. You can filter by that flag later. See add flags, highlights and notes.

When the scan is poor

Handwriting and faint scans are where the app is most likely to misread. A missed number on a sticker is common. Always read identifiers on the page image, not only in the text.

Medrecords AI organizes and cites the records. Its output is not a medical or legal opinion and does not replace your expert.
